Gothic Quarter Apartment with Contemporary Materials and Modern Furniture Items
This are renovation of 130 square meter apartment in Gothic Quarter of Barcelona, Spain. Using contemporary materials and modern furniture items. The transformation can be clearly seen in all its details, but there are certain elements that maintain the memory of another time. Some key elements have been preserved, as Catalan ceilings showing beams and arches, and exterior wood shutters. Arched openings to make the connection between the succession plan as brilliant and generous floor of the house.

Called Gothic Quarter Apartment, borrowing the name of its location. This apartment was designed by YLAB Architects. Spaces were reconstructed to provide young private, social and work areas: from the entrance and go through the kitchen and the living room, bedroom and bathroom can be reached. Assembled by hand stained pine slats to the ceiling and walls a unique look, while the simple geometry of the furniture fits perfectly into the new space.
