Awesome Minimalist Chalet by Designer Noé Duchaufour Lawrance in the French Alp. It’s amazing three-storey chalet with minimalist space, it comprises the classical principles of a traditional chalet but given in a modern way far from traditional geometry. Resolutely fluid and modern and the result is a set of lines and organic forms composed of a wood strip. A master bedroom is above all the construction, to define the focus of the pavilion, where the family comes around a warm fireplace. Tables, chairs and other objects by the same designer wrap around each piece, along with other pieces of furniture design. Walls and floors of two trees and stone Waltz around a jacuzzi on the first floor, while concrete floors can be found in the rooms beyond. Space is very unusual, minimalist and surreal, this is a new vision of how a country house should look like.

Modern Apartment Interior with Natural Color Palette in New Delhi. This apartment located in New Delhi, India, actually on the upper level of a family home in New Delhi. It was designed by Architect Rajiv Saini. It has 2,500 square feet apartment and features three bedrooms. This apartment retains the charm found in the architect’s works and raises the bar with the use of a natural color palette.

According to the Architect :
“We tore down a spare bedroom to make space for a grand master suite, which on one end (at the couple’s request) has a modern version of a traditional Indian ‘gadda’,which is essentially a large mattress to sit informally on and spend time together. A living room with a compact dining (and a tiny walk-in pantry, no more than a mere 6 feet x 6 feet) area was created for them to entertain their personal friends on their floor. Large Screens cut out of solid blocks of black granite separate this area from the rest of the family house. A large master bath and dresser has been fitted out in onyx and a beige granitalo marble, while the living and bedroom have teak wood and a deep brown Spanish marble. A guest suite has a bed with a large upholstered bed surround, placed against a black marble ledge, so as to offer views of the gardens.”

“The movie set of The Ghost Writer (released as The Ghost in the United Kingdom) is a stunning beach house in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts with sleek Walter Knoll interior in a deep muted color palette, but as this was just a set, this dream house remains just a dream; in fact, the movie was not even filmed in America due to the fact that the notorious cult director Roman Polanski was not allowed to enter the country.

The political thriller stars Ewan McGregor, Pierce Brosnan, Kim Cattrall and Olivia Williams, but the star of the movie for us was the fictional Prime Minister’s estate. For exterior location shots of the imposing modernist building, a façade was built at Usedom, Germany, and the plush interior shots were done on sets constructed at Babelsberg.”
